Debit Cards

Effortless transactions anytime with our convenient  debit cards


Citizens State Bank is proud to offer debit cards to ensure you have easy access to your money. Our MasterCard debit cards are a checkbook in disguise. Debit cards can be used to withdraw cash from any of our ATMs and other ATMs worldwide. Additionally, debit cards can be used to make purchases by charging them directly to your checking account.
 
Citizens State Bank debit cards are compatible with digital wallets offered through Apple Pay®, Google Wallet®, or Samsung Wallet®. Add your card to you mobile wallet, then pay by simply tapping your device wherever you see the contactless payment symbol. Digital wallets make debit card payments easier and more secure.
 
Debit card transactions do not count towards the per-debit-item fees on our accounts. To order a debit card, ask for an easy to complete application at any of our Citizens State Bank locations.


Lost or Stolen Cards


To report a lost or stolen card during business hours, please immediately call any of our Citizens State Bank locations. After hours, please call SHAZAM, our debit card processing partner, at 1-800-383-8000.


Debit Card Fraud Protection


Keeping your account safe and secure is our highest priority. We partner with SHAZAM, our debit card processor, to implement a fraud management solution powered by FICO® Falcon® to help protect your debit card against fraudulent activity.

As part of our debit card protection program, we provide text alerts or automated calls when suspicious activity is detected on your Citizens State Bank debit card. Please make sure to update your contact details with us if your phone number or address has changed.
To make sure you don’t miss a call or text from SHAZAM, save these numbers to your contacts:
Text message alerts come from: 72718
Automated phone calls come from: 855-219-5399
If you receive a text alert, reply “Yes” or “No” to confirm or deny the activity.

  • If you reply “No” (the activity is fraudulent), you’ll quickly receive a follow up text to let you know that a SHAZAM fraud specialist will call you soon to help protect your account. We’ll also automatically block your debit card to prevent any additional fraudulent activity.
  • If you reply “Yes” (the activity was legitimate), you can continue to use your debit card as normal.
  • If you don’t reply to the text or if your phone number is not a mobile number, we will attempt to reach you via automated voice call.
If you ever see a suspicious transaction on your debit card, please call your local Citizens State Bank location.

Always use caution when providing your debit card information. Please note, we will never request card or account information via text, phone, or email. Contact us immediately if you suspect your debit card has been stolen or compromised.


Manage your Debit Card with SHAZAM Brella

SHAZAM Brella is a free mobile app provided through our debit card processing partner to help you manage your debit card usage and protect against fraud. It is available for both Apple and Android devices. We encourage our customers to use Brella in addition to the Citizens State Bank Mobile Banking app. To download Brella, search for "Brella Card Manager" in your app store or follow these links:

 

Through Brella, you can check your balance, find ATMs, submit travel notices, and set up text or email alerts when your debit card is used to quickly detect unauthorized activity on your account. You can set alerts for:

  • Purchases that exceed a specific dollar amount
  • Card-not-present purchases
  • Suspicious or high-risk transactions
Brella also allows you to block your card for certain uses including:

  • Transactions that exceed a specific dollar amount
  • Internet or phone transactions
  • Foreign transactions
Through Brella, you can also temporarily disable your debit card. This feature is handy to control spending or prevent unauthorized use if your card has been lost. When you find your card, simply turn it back on.
